UKC AGILITY EQUIPMENT AT ARGUS RANCH - If your interested in
trying UKC agility or want to prepare for the upcoming Puget Sound
K-9 trials here is a great opportunity. For $10.00 an hour
you can use the open air arena at Argus Ranch which has our 6 unique
pieces of UKC agility equipment (crawl tunnel, swing plank, sway bridge,
pause box, hoop tunnel & platform jump). Usually there is
a course set up out in the arena. Just remove a jump or two
and replace with the unique pieces which are located off to the side
of the arena. Once you have your dog trained on each unique
piece then you can have fun running a course using the pieces to see
how easy your dog catches on. Attached to each piece are instructions
on how to start training on that piece. Or if you feel uncomfortable
with that, you can contact me and I or another club member will meet
with you there when they are available. I haven’t seen
a dog that knows agility all ready have any problem with UKC equipment. Sometimes
they need more help on a certain piece, but we can tell you how to
come up with a makeshift item to practice on. Plus you can always
reserve the arena and use the equipment on your own. To reserve
the arena contact Holly at oleale@comcast.net or
call (253)333-2347. If you need help from a PSK-9 member contact
J’Anna @ sunluck@earthlink.net or janna.m.lyttle@boeing.com or
call (253)857-7148 (leave a message on the recorder - work 2nd shift). Differences between UKC and AKC obedience |
